Statistics & Studies
------------------------

How is Cologne’s MICE-sector developing and what are the recent trends? Relevant and accurate data is most important to do things right in destination marketing and allows a comparative perspective across destinations in the international competition. The *Cologne Convention Bureau (CCB)* provides up-to-date statistics and key numbers on the sector. Since 2009, it cooperates with its partners and the *Europäisches Institut für TagungsWirtschaft GmbH (European Institute for Convention Business)* to survey the convention statistic .

Facts and Figures on the economic relevance of the MICE-sector in the *City of Cologne* can be retrieved from the study, carried out as a dissertation project by Ralf Kunze at *Leuphana University of Lüneburg*. On behalf of *CCB*, he developed a method based on the world wide tourism and meeting research and adjusted it to the German market. The most important findings of the study can be viewed below.
