A quarter of a century of creativity and hospitality in Cologne will be celebrated in style with a vernissage on September 19, 2024.

The New Yorker Cologne is celebrating its 25th anniversary. For a quarter of a century, the company, which includes two design hotels with individual conference locations, a boarding house and an event hall, has been shaping the hotel and event landscape on both sides of the Rhine in the cathedral city.

To celebrate this special anniversary, “The New Yorker Cologne” invites you to a special vernissage by the renowned artist Alex Hülbach. The vernissage will take place on September 19, 2024, starting at 6:00 p.m. at “The New Yorker Hotel” in Cologne-Mülheim – the place where it all began 25 years ago. Surrounded by the impressive Deutz-Mülheim industrial architecture, which then as now defines the charm and character of the building, the event is intended to stylishly combine the company's history and future.

In 1999, “The New Yorker Hotel” opened its doors and immediately set new standards for design and individuality in Cologne's hotel industry. With a mix of modern style and the industrial heritage of the location, the hotel has since made a name for itself that is known far beyond the city limits. Over the years, the company has grown continuously and expanded its portfolio to include, among others, “The Midtown Hotel” on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring and the versatile event hall “Harbour.Club”, which has established itself as a popular location for corporate events, weddings and other private functions.
“We look back with pride and gratitude on 25 years of welcoming guests from all over the world to our properties,” says architect and CEO Johannes J. Adams. ”It has always been important to us to create places that inspire, promote encounters and provide space for creative ideas. The vernissage of Alex Hülbach is therefore the perfect setting to celebrate this milestone – because art and design have always been part of our corporate philosophy.”

The works of Alex Hülbach, who is known for her abstract and multi-layered imagery, will take guests on an artistic journey this evening. Designer Stefanie Schiffer will also be adding to the exhibition with one of her creative installations.
The anniversary year will be an occasion for “The New Yorker Cologne” to look to the future and make new plans to continue the success story. The combination of tradition and modernity, which has always been the company's hallmark, remains the guiding principle.

Interested media representatives are cordially invited to attend the vernissage and toast 25 years of “The New Yorker Cologne”.
