In 1st place: the bus has the lowest CO2 emissions The Federal Environment Agency has officially stated that buses emit the fewest greenhouse gases of all motorised modes of transport in Germany. Even the train produces higher CO2 emissions per passenger and kilometre in comparison. Not to mention cars and aeroplanes, which produce many times more exhaust gases.
