Koelnmesse reports a highly successful financial year 2025. Strong figures, international growth and strategic investments underline Cologne’s importance as a leading global trade fair and congress destination.

Koelnmesse closed the 2025 financial year with provisional revenues of around 450 million euros and a consolidated group result of approximately 60 million euros. The figures confirm the company’s sustained positive development. Key drivers included a strong trade fair and congress business in Cologne, operational efficiency gains and continued growth in international markets. In total, around 2.5 million visitors from 214 countries and 43,600 exhibiting companies from 120 nations took part in Koelnmesse events.

A standout highlight was Anuga, the world’s leading trade fair for the food and beverage industry, which became the largest event in the company’s history. More than 8,000 exhibitors and over 145,000 trade visitors once again demonstrated Cologne’s relevance as a platform for global exchange. At the same time, Koelnmesse significantly expanded its international footprint. Of 79 events worldwide, 38 were staged abroad, complemented by several new formats in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

The congress segment also recorded positive momentum. The Conference and Exhibition Center Confex quickly established itself as a growth driver, with a strong booking situation extending well into the next decade. Major medical congresses, in particular, generated additional demand and reinforced Cologne’s profile as a hub for science-based meetings and conventions.

Looking ahead, Koelnmesse is investing strategically in the future of the site. The decision to plan a new multifunctional administrative and infrastructure building at Cologne Messe/Deutz ICE station creates long-term development prospects. At the same time, the company continues to advance its climate strategy, preparing for a fully fossil-free energy supply.
