‘The festival focussed on one thing above all: celebrating together and growing together as a global DEUTZ family. That's why we dispensed with big speeches and swapped tight ties for colourful festival ribbons,’ said a DEUTZ AG spokesperson.
lemonpie created an international street food market that spoilt the 3,500 or so guests with a wide range of culinary delights - from trendy currywurst variations with chips to falafel and pinse, Asian specialities, waffles, crêpes and frozen yoghurt.
Sustainability was a particular focus for lemonpie here: under the event format ‘Zero Waste - Pure Pleasure’, the caterer exclusively used the PAPSTAR ‘pure’ range. With intelligent two-part return logistics via return stations, the used disposable crockery is collected and sent to the bio-converter. There it is then converted into valuable secondary raw materials for the production of industrial cardboard or new corn cups. This means that it is not only biodegradable and recyclable, but is also returned to the material cycle.
‘The circular economy starts with the product: the clever symbiosis of future-oriented processes in the field of disposable tableware and contemporary catering heralds a new era of sustainability. The event for DEUTZ AG proved to us once again what is possible,’ explains Stephanie Forstner, Sustainability Officer at lemonpie.
