Unser Hotel wurde 2023 mit GreenSign Hotel zertifiziert (Nachhaltigkeitszertifizierung mit Prüfung vor Ort). 2023 haben wir unsere CO2-Emissionen pro Übernachtung durch GreenSign in Kooperation mit myclimate ermitteln lassen. Der Wert lag bei kg je Übernachtung. Ziel ist, diesen Wert Jahr für Jahr weiter zu senken. Unser ganzes Team arbeitet mit viel Kreativität kontinuierlich an konkreten Maßnahmen für Umwelt, Region und Mitarbeitende. Wir setzen auf Praktiken wie Müllvermeidung, den Einsatz von Reinigungsmitteln mit EU-Ecolabel und Zwei-Mengen-Spültasten. Wir verwenden ausschließlich Recycling-Papier mit dem EU-Ecolabel, bieten ein Bio-Frühstück mit regionalen und vielen vegetarischen Produkten an. Mit unserer Teilnahme an einem Aufforstungsprojekt in Lasel in der Eifel (wir haben gemeinsam mit unseren beiden Schwesterhotels 200 Bäumen gepflanzt), dem Engagement im Waldschutz (KOLPING-Wald) und einem Insektenhotel im Garten tragen wir aktiv zur Förderung der Biodiversität bei.
