In 2023, our hotel was awarded the GreenSign Hotel certificate. (we achieved 77% conformity). The certification is bades on an on-site audit conduted by independent assessors and evaluates criteria across environmental, social and economic areas.
Thanks to targeted operational measures, our hotel´s carbon footprint averaged 6.0 kg CO2e per overnight stay in 2023. In 2023, together with our two sister hotels and in partnership with Plant-My-Tree, we planted a total of 200 trees as part of a reforestation project in Lasel (Eifel region). We are also involved in forest conservation through the KOLPING Forest project; this initiative aims to protect a 30,000 m² forest area near Lohmar—featuring beech trees over 250 years old—for the next 50 years through square-meter donations.

Guests are welcome to use the wheelchair-accessible elevator at the main entrance to get to the hotel. Stepless access is possible in the conference rooms on the first floor as well as in the upper-floor rooms and bathrooms, which can be reached by elevator.
