Trends and innovation have a long tradition in Ehrenfeld. Since its creation in the 19th century, the district in the west of Cologne has been influenced by Cologne's industrial development, but it has also been a hotbed of resistance, a melting pot of cultures and home to people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

In the shadow of the Ehrenfeld lighthouse, we shed light on the colourful mix of urban life. Industrial charm and street art characterise the streetscape and we encounter them again and again on our route through the lively neighbourhood. We pass alternative bars, clubs, cosy cafés and trendy shops as well as various representatives of the local street food cuisine.
